Greetings from the Wolflair!
For those of you who have reached out regarding the recent Demiplane announcements, rest assured that rumors of our demise are greatly exaggerated. We are alive and well. A little overworked, and a lot not looking forward to winter weather, but alive and well nonetheless.
Demiplane is absolutely an official Paizo partner, and we wish them the best on their adventure. However, they are not the only official partner, and Paizo continues to have equal and healthy relationships with its many partners across the board, Lone Wolf included. Here is a statement from Jim Butler on the matter:
“For more than a decade, Paizo has partnered with Lone Wolf Development to create character-building software that empowers play for Pathfinder Second Edition, Pathfinder First Edition, and Starfinder. Hero Lab Classic shaped a generation of gamers, from homebrewers and Adventure Path aficionados to Pathfinder Society and Starfinder Society players, and continues to evolve with Hero Lab Online integrating the latest Paizo products for your favorite games.
We look forward to continuing our official partnership with Lone Wolf Development for many years to come.” – Jim Butler, Vice President of Marketing & Licensing, Paizo Inc.
Along with these words from Paizo itself, it may comfort our users to know that, as we often do, we recently renewed our contract with Paizo for several more years. Hero Lab was Paizo’s first digital partner over a decade ago, and we plan to be around for many more years to come. We even have some exciting new features of our own that we’re hoping to showcase around the holidays! So, while we very much appreciate everyone’s concern, everything is business as usual here in the data mines!
Happy Halloween from all of us here at Lone Wolf Development. We hope your spooky games are the spookiest and your dice are kind!
