Two different versions of Hero Lab are available - the full product, which supports multiple game systems and operates in demo mode until you purchase a license, and the free "starter edition" of Hero Lab which supports only the Pathfinder Beginner Box and Spirit of the Century. You can download either or both, depending on which game(s) you want to use Hero Lab with.

Hero Lab and Hero Lab Starter Edition are available both for Windows and the Mac. Separate downloads for each are provided below.

Once the download is complete, run the file and you will be prompted through the installation process.

If Hero Lab is installed on a computer with an internet connection, it can check for updates to the program or game systems automatically. When a new update is available, Hero Lab will prompt you to download and begin using it.

However, if you plan to run Hero Lab on a computer with no internet connection, you should download game systems here, move them to the computer on which Hero Lab is installed, and then double-click to import them.
